A4 — Automated Design Analysis

Task

Implement a small automated technique for one of:

• pattern detection;
• pattern recommendation;
• design smell detection/prioritization;
• refactoring candidate detection;
• dependency/architecture anomaly detection.

Minimum scientific structure

• research question;
• explicit operational definition;
• baseline;
• subject systems and versions;
• evaluation metric(s);
• at least 20 manually inspected cases or an appropriate labeled oracle;
• error analysis;
• reproducibility instructions.

Strong submissions

Strong work explains where the method fails and why, rather than hiding false positives behind aggregate metrics.
