Lab 2 — From Requirements to Issues

Goal

Turn an informal feature request into a small, testable backlog.

Tasks

  1. Identify at least two stakeholders.
  2. Write three user stories or requirement statements.
  3. Add acceptance criteria with positive and negative examples.
  4. Identify one quality requirement and make it measurable.
  5. Create GitHub issues and label them by type/priority.
  6. Link dependencies where one issue blocks another.

Review checklist

  • Is the value or rationale visible?
  • Could two developers interpret the requirement differently?
  • Can the acceptance criteria be demonstrated or tested?
  • Are edge cases and failure behavior considered?
