Objective¶
Transform the requirements into a defensible design.
Required artifacts¶
- System context diagram.
- Component/container diagram.
- Domain/class model for important concepts.
- Sequence diagram for one critical workflow.
- Two architectural decision records.
- Short discussion of at least three quality-attribute trade-offs.
Design review questions¶
- Which parts are most likely to change?
- Where are trust boundaries and external dependencies?
- Which component owns each important responsibility?
- What would fail if a dependency became unavailable?
- How can the design be tested in isolation and in integration?
